Cultivated plants cannot live on water alone, and the soil they are in can only provide them with so many nutrients. Just like humans taking vitamins, plants need a little nutrient boost too, but in the form of fertiliser. Without fertilisers, plants will grow weak, be poor in colour, and can be lacking in flowers and fruit. When fertiliser is added to a plant's diet, the plant will not only flourish, but will be stronger and better equipped when pests and diseases try to attack.
There have been three primary nutrients that dominate the formula of plant feed for many, many years, and Hydra WonderGrow contains all three, which are Nitrogen (N), Phosphorous (P) and Potassium (K), also known as NPK.
Nitrogen helps to boost the green growth within plants. Not only this, it helps with the development of new shoots. If a plant is short of nitrogen the growth will be stunted, and leaves may start to turn yellow.
Phosphorous is essential to encourage germination and root growth. It helps to improve a plant's ability to absorb new nutrients.
Potassium encourages and influences the production of flowers and fruit within plants, meaning an increasing chance of pollination and better crops than those grown without fertiliser.
When Hydra WonderGrow is fed to plants, all the elements from NPK work in sync and help each plant flourish to the best of its ability, helping you to produce plants to be proud of.
Shake well before use. Add Hydra WonderGrow first, then water.
As Hydra WonderGrow is a liquid plant fertiliser concentrate, you have different options on how to apply your feed:
Handheld spray bottle – If you have houseplants or herbs, you can mix your solution in a handheld spray bottle and mist your plants with feed.
Watering can – Mix your solution in a watering can with a rose attachment, and shower over your plants.
Pump sprayer or large sprayer – for larger plant beds and areas, you can mix your solution in a pump sprayer or large sprayer and spray to apply.
Like all fertilisers, regardless of whether the plant lives indoors or outdoors, it is best to apply Hydra WonderGrow during active growing months as all plants need growth to slow down in the cooler months; fertilisers will break this cycle if used all year round. We recommend starting your feed in March, as this is when temperatures start to rise from those of winter months.
Do not feed plants in cold, frosty weathers or in hot, dry summers. When applying plant feed in the summer months, apply this in the coolest part of the day, whether that be first thing in the morning or late at night. We also recommend only using feed once a week, anymore and you may overwhelm and overwater your plants, which may cause them stress resulting in burnt and scorched looking leaves, to deteriorate or even die.
