Yes, Add Hydra Vulcan heating oil additive straight in to the oil tank in correct dilution then top up with new fuel. Please make sure Fuel tanks being treated should be at least 10% full.

Can you please advise if the Hydra Vulcan is suitable for use in a solid fuel Rayburn stove that was converted to oil using a Don burner? The burner is not a vaporising burner, but a gravity feed oil drip. I do know that some types of additive are not suitable for this type of burner and just wondered if you had encountered this problem before? Thanks

HOW TO USE VULCAN HEATING OIL ADDITIVE

Add to fuel tank, then top up with new fuel. It can also be added to fuel already in the tank. After adding to your tank, just give Hydra Vulcan a quick stir with a stick, and it will readily disperse.

Can I mix Hydra Vulcan if I have an additive already in my tank?

You will be OK as long as the other additive has been designed for domestic heating boiler oil treatment. Just dose at the correct amount for your volume of oil.

Will using Hydra Vulcan affect my boiler warranty?

Our product has been designed so that treated fuel still adheres to the following standards: BS 2869. Class A2 and BS 2689 Class D; therefore, it will not affect your boiler's warranty.

I've just replaced my oil tank, but although a lot of sludge was removed, some contaminated oil was transferred back to the new tank. If I'm adding the Hydra Vulcan to the fuel, do I need to add a biocide additive as well, or will the Heating Oil Additive do both jobs?

To play safe we recommend you to add the biocide Hydra FPB-77 FuelPlus as well.

Hi, is the amount of heating oil additive critical ie if I buy some? Is it possible to add too much?

No. If you overdose it is OK.

Had my boiler serviced & was recommended to use an additive as there was some sludge in the bottom of the tank. Since adding Hydra the water & heating seems hotter & the needle on my oil level gauge seems to be going down slower. Not sure if it's just down to the Hydra, but there's definitely a difference. Will be adding it every tank fill now.

Boiler running more quietly

Have had problems with my boiler sooting up, and playing up like only firing up for a few seconds at a time. Have had it serviced/cleaned 3 times in the last 7 months. So have had it serviced again and also added this product to the oil tank. So will have to wait and see if it works the only thing I can say the boiler is much quieter and working as it should.
