Our additives are specially formulated to help protect your cherished classic car or motor bike from the harsh corrosive nature of fuels containing ethanol.
Ethanol absorbs moisture from the air. When a classic car or motor bike is stored for long periods without being used, this moisture condenses in the fuel tank, fuel lines, carburettors and engine components causing metal components to rust.
Hydra’s additives include a corrosive inhibitor to combat these issues.
USAGE
With your tank at least 10% full, add 2ml of additive for every litre of petrol in your tank as a first treatment.
After that first tank has gone through your system, only use 1ml for every litre going forwards.

WHY DO INJECTORS BECOME CLOGGED
As you cannot see inside your petrol engine, you don’t tend to realise the number of deposits caused by decomposition and unburned fuel clogging your injectors, interfering with the vehicle's performance. Hydra PIC-24 contains the latest detergent fuel cleaning technology that deep cleans down to a molecular level. They remove these deposits and help protect the surfaces in the future, helping you to maintain 100% performance.
The reason clogged injectors are so common nowadays is that fuel injection systems have largely replaced carburettors; these modern engines spray fuel through very narrow spray channels with extremely high pressure to atomise the spray. However, these injectors are incredibly sensitive to deposit build-up and can become partially blocked after only 50 hours of engine use.
Using HYDRA PIC-24, these deposits are cleared, and a clean fuel system gives you improved engine durability, reduced harmful exhaust gasses and far better fuel economy.
Petrol fuel octane is incredibly important. It ensures that fuel is burned efficiently; if the fuel has an octane number below the minimum engine needs, it can cause rough engine operation and inadequate fuel burn, resulting in engine deposits.
